Well, not everybody reads them. I haven't read a single one on the list!
ReplyDeleteCatcher in the Rye used to be inflicted on high school students, and Ulysses and Sister Carrie in American Lit. classes. Kahlil Gibran may have been standard only for the '60s generation.
