Those who follow this blog know that one of my favorite authors is John Buchan (1875-1940). I have posted about him, his thrillers, and other writings many times. Last evening I came across this BBC documentary, "John Buchan Master of Suspense," from 2007. If you've read Buchan at all, you will find it interesting. If you haven't, ignoring my recommendations, you may find it encourages you to give him a chance. It is quite good, primarily about his thrillers featuring Richard Hannay, the first of which was The 39 Steps, as well as the author's biography.
Ann Widdecombe, one of the commenters, was the former Conservative parliamentarian who was brutally murdered by a suspected terrorist this summer.
