Planned Parenthood is offended that the Catholic bishops are opposed to abortion being funded under new health care legislation. Deirdre McQuade, speaking for the bishops, explains why abortion doesn't belong in such legislation:
"It's simple," she said. "Abortion is not medical care. Pregnancy is not a disease, and fertility is not a pathological condition. Thats really true. Its not a disease its certain situation of women which will be going to change after a certain period. Those who treat it as a disease need to change their opinion.
